朱锐，男，安徽省安庆人。现为深圳大学哲学系特聘教授。曾任美国芝加哥森林湖文理学院哲学系终身教授和神经学系兼职教授， 美国德州州立大学哲学系助理教授和中国北京大学助教。1988年毕业于安徽大学哲学系。1991年毕业于北京大学外国哲学研究所。1992年赴美杜兰大学跟随著名认知科学家Radu Bogdan攻读心灵哲学。1997年获博士学位。
朱锐对心灵哲学的学习和研究，早期偏重于图灵计算模型论中的功能主义，后随学科发展，转向对神经网络和人脑情感系统的结构性的注重。也长期研究柏拉图和比较哲学。在国际一流学术刊物发表论文近30篇。近期作品包括“比较哲学：回答罗蒂和麦金泰尔，”“回答布瑞克”，“作为交流的爱，”和“尤西弗罗篇中的爱洛斯”等等。
精通英语，古希腊语和德语，也掌握拉丁语，法语和西班牙语。
研究专长和领域是: 心灵哲学和情感神经学，柏拉图，比较哲学。
