September 28,2025,the final of Shenzhen University's 2025 Undergraduate New Liberal Arts Practice and Innovation Contest was successfully held . Focused on interdisciplinary integration and practical implementation, the contest aims to cultivate well-rounded liberal arts talent with strong practical abilities.
After preliminary reviews, 15 interdisciplinary teams advanced to the university-level final, competing with projects addressing areas such as intangible cultural heritage preservation, rural revitalization, and smart elderly care. Eight winning teams were ultimately selected to represent the university in the provincial competition.
Vice President Chao Naipeng emphasized that the contest aligns with national strategies to strengthen education and deepen new liberal arts reforms. He encouraged students to apply innovative thinking and technology to solve real-world problems in the humanities.
This year's edition attracted 112 project submissions spanning disciplines including literature, history, philosophy, economics, management, and law. The winning entries were notably characterized by their interdisciplinary approach and practical applicability.
Shenzhen University will further refine its talent development model in the new liberal arts, enhancing students' capabilities in cross-disciplinary collaboration and practical innovation to meet regional development needs.
