On the afternoon of January 20, the unveiling ceremony for the "Shenzhen University Internship Base" and "Historical Research Co-creation Studio" was held at the Nanshan District Archives Building, marking a collaborative initiative between the School of Humanities at Shenzhen University and the Nanshan District Archives. Attendees included Zhang Jiaping, Director of the Nanshan District Archives, Liao Ran, Deputy Director, Jian Ming, fifth-level staff member, as well as Yi Ling, Party Secretary of the School of Humanities, Gao Zhizhong, Vice Dean, Li Shizhuo, student affairs officer, and Zhou Meng, Assistant Dean.

In her address, Yi Ling noted that as the only school in Shenzhen to fully encompass the disciplines of literature, history, and philosophy, the School of Humanities naturally aligns with the needs of archival work. The establishment of the internship base will provide humanities students with a bridge to practical experience, while the co-creation studio will foster the deep integration of academic and archival resources. She remarked that archives are written history, and education is the narrative that follows. Looking ahead, she expressed hope that both parties would leverage archives and scholarship to empower each other in historical research, knowledge translation, and talent cultivation, bringing archival materials to life and grounding the aspirations of young scholars. Together, they aim to contribute significantly to the cultural development of Nanshan and the preservation of Shenzhen’s cultural heritage.

Zhang Jiaping emphasized the value of this in-depth collaboration with the School of Humanities. The archives will open various application scenarios and practical platforms to support academic and practical exchanges on Nanshan’s historical and cultural resources as well as archival collections. "The unveiling is just the beginning. Moving forward, we will adopt a project-based approach to deepen cooperation, support each other, and work in unison to contribute to the advancement of Shenzhen University’s higher education and the high-quality development of Nanshan District."

Subsequently, Yi Ling and Zhang Jiaping jointly unveiled the plaques for the "Shenzhen University Off-campus Internship Base" and the "Historical Research Co-creation Studio."
