On May 28, the School of Humanities held the 2026 Reading Report Conference for its “Knowledge-Practice School” at Lecture Hall 2, Huixing Building.

This year’s program marked a significant breakthrough in both scale and depth. Twenty-two distinguished Party member faculty members from ten university departments—including the President’s Office, the United Front Work Department, the University Youth League Committee, and the Library—were invited to serve as “Knowledge-Practice Mentors.” They guided over 200 faculty and student participants through a month-long deep reading initiative featuring 22 carefully selected classic texts.

The program fostered a vibrant atmosphere of joint research, critical thinking, and debate. Through extensive intellectual exchange, participants deepened their theoretical understanding and strengthened their political awareness. During the conference, 14 groups presented their findings, delivering a thought-provoking showcase characterized by academic rigor, emotional resonance, and original insights. An awards ceremony was also held to honor outstanding mentors and authors of exemplary reading reports.
