During the 22nd China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair, a strategic cooperation signing ceremony was held at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center. The event featured the appointment of the Honorary Dean of the Pengcheng Literature Academy and the unveiling of a Creative Writing Base. Professor Ma Zili, Dean of the School of Humanities at Shenzhen University (SZU), attended the ceremony and signed the agreement with Mr. Xu Quanjun, Executive Deputy Director of Shenzhen Publishing House, to jointly advance the high-quality development of Shenzhen’s literary endeavors. Professor Gao Zhizhong, Vice Dean of the School, also attended the signing.

Under the agreement, both parties will leverage their respective strengths to establish comprehensive, in-depth collaboration across four key areas: talent cultivation, creation of literary masterpieces, academic research, and publication dissemination. The partnership aims to forge a seamless “University Cultivation—Creative Practice—Publishing Dissemination” pipeline, achieving mutual empowerment between academic research and literary practice through deep industry-academia integration.

Specific initiatives include joint writing workshops, incubation programs for original literary works, and the development of signature cultural events. SZU will dispatch faculty members and graduate teams to provide creative guidance and project planning for the Pengcheng Literature Academy. Concurrently, the Academy will invite renowned authors and outstanding students to campus to share creative philosophies and experiences, fostering a vibrant literary ecosystem in the Greater Bay Area characterized by master-led mentorship, university-community synergy, and the integration of theory and practice.
