From August 18 to 22, 2025, a 44-member team from the School of Humanities at Shenzhen University, led by the Dean’s Assistant Ye Kang and other faculty members, carried out a cultural research project across Jiazi, Jiaxi, and Jiadong towns in Lufeng City, Guangdong Province.
The fieldwork was part of the university’s response to the provincial “Hundreds, Thousands, and Tens of Thousands Project,” which encourages young talent to contribute to local development.
The research group visited historical sites such as Daidu Mountain, employing methods such as oral interviews, field visits, and archival research to systematically document local cultural heritage and engage with residents and cultural preservation organizations.
Through the project, the team not only gathered valuable first-hand materials but also deepened their understanding of Lingnan regional culture while strengthening practical research skills.
The initiative reflects the School of Humanities’ commitment to experiential learning and cultural preservation, injecting youthful energy into the broader development campaign.
